You are looking at a Rhodes Suitcase 73 MkI made in 1976.
The suitcase pianos were the self amplified version of the Rhodes Piano, that disassembled in 2 "suitcases" for transportaion.
The amplification was in Stereo, featuring 2 twin amplifiers driving 2 12'' speakers each.
This suitcase piano is in extremely clean condition. It appears to have been used at home for all these years. There is no rust in the hardware or tears in the Tolex. The tines and tuning forks are all there, original and with no rust at all.One of the cleanest Rhodes pianos that I have ever seen.
The electronics are 100% original. It has a preamp with bass, trable vibrato intensity and speed controls as well as send/return jacks.
The power amp features germanium transistors which indeed have a very distinct sound. Four 12'' alnico speakers are assembled in the cabinet.
This is certainly the quintessential Rhodes piano in top condition. A superb piano.
